Interventional Cardiology is a minimally invasive cardiac care technique used to diagnose and treat various heart diseases. Procedures are performed via cardiac catheterization, using a tiny flexible tube (catheter) introduced through a small keyhole puncture, guided by imaging. This approach allows complex cardiac procedures with minimal risk and good outcomes.

Our department treats a wide variety of cardiovascular conditions using advanced interventional techniques to ensure precise, safe, and effective treatment.

Conditions Treated – Coronary Artery Disease, Valvular Heart Disease, Peripheral Vascular Disease, Carotid Artery Disease, Aortic Aneurysms, Rhythm Disorders, and Congenital Heart Disease.
Balloon Angioplasty and Stent Placement – Procedure to restore normal blood flow in blocked or narrowed arteries using a balloon catheter and stent deployment. Some stents release medication gradually to prevent future blockages.
Percutaneous Valve Implantation – TAVI or TMVI procedures dilate the aortic or mitral valve using a balloon catheter and implant an artificial valve. Tricuspid valve and structural heart defects (ASD, VSD, PDA) can also be corrected.
Peripheral Angioplasty – Balloon dilatation and stent placement in peripheral arteries of the upper or lower limbs to restore blood flow.
Carotid Angioplasty – Angioplasty performed in the carotid arteries supplying the brain. Cerebral arteries can also be treated for stroke via angioplasty, coiling, or embolization.
Endo Stent Grafting – Deployment of large endograft stents for aortic aneurysms in thoracic or abdominal aorta to prevent rupture or bleeding.
EP Study and RF Ablation – Electrophysiology studies assess electrical impulses of the heart. RF ablation treats arrhythmias by locating and controlling abnormal electrical pathways.
Electrical Cardioversion – Low-voltage electrical current delivered to normalize heart rhythm.
ICD Implantation – Implantable cardioverter defibrillators monitor heart rhythm and deliver electrical signals to correct abnormalities or treat heart failure.
Pacemaker Implantation – Battery-powered device implanted to regulate slow heartbeats (bradycardia).
Congenital Heart Interventions – Treatment of structural heart defects or valves in infants, children, and adults using minimally invasive interventions.
